Got it.
I just - finally - won the scenario I was playing in Anno 1404, after about 50 hours of play time (not continuous ^**lylgh ).
I'll try your work before I start another scenario in Anno 1404.

I seem to be missing a 3dp file.

Yeah I'm running WP&P's custom cargo cars pack. Every home should have one. !*th_up*!

Incidentally, I was playing around with the bauxite hoppers in Blender last night. His C and D hoppers have the text reversed one side, and the B and C ones have far more polys than they need (because he'd done a lot by just alpha'ing out stuff). This is all due to having to do manual hex editing of existing cargo models, with the limitations that imposes. Since the models can now be Blenderated over a relaxed cup of coffee, I went through them and cleaned them up so B and C are really low poly, and both C and D have the text right way around on both sides. Lower poly without loss of anything important is useful if we're going to double up on freight cars.

Also, I was looking at the resulting images and there is a lot of spare space on the image for the B and C eras. These could easily be combined with another cargo car, so that the game only had to find and cache one image to handle two cargoes. Not only that, but Wp&P used .TGA which has four times the load on the game engine compared to .DDS. So by going to a 1024x1024 .DDS instead of his 512 .TGA, and by putting two cargoes on one skin, we could have four times the skin resolution (ie: much better detail) with only half the load on the game engine. This sort of thing is probably worth looking into.

Do I have to install all of his cars? I installed the Bauxite hoppers but now I get an error about another one.
The map won't load without them.

Yeah I'm running the whole pack. Sorry, I just assumed all the old hands would be running them, since everyone likes his stuff so much.

I installed the grain, corn, iron ore, bauxite, coal, goods, pulpwood, and produce cars. Now I'm getting this error.

What else do I need to install? This is a vanilla 1.05 install.

Edit 1: Never mind. That error above was the express cars. It loads now.

Well I did suggest packing them all into one, but some bloke said they'd be better as individual packs.

Glad it's working for you anyway.

Zoomed all the way out.

Yup, that's what it looks like. It's going to be difficult to get it to match water reflections really well. It would have to be an approximation. Much easier without them, although I would love to have them if I could figure out why they aren't working on my box.

Would it be possible to bury the tracks a little under the water?
